Aboriginal Community Funeral Plan is a funeral related expenses plan. It is not a savings plan/account. You may not receive a refund after the 30-day cooling off period. Funeral Plan Holders may pay more than their benefit amount. If payments are not maintained, you may forfeit your funeral related expenses cover.
We recognise and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. Particularly, we acknowledge the Yugambeh people of the Bundjalung nation, who are the traditional custodians of the lands where our offices are located (Coolangatta, QLD). What is this cover for?
It is to provide a payout to meet or contribute to the funeral and related expenses of each of your Nominees (people who are covered).
When will a payout be made?
Once we have received payment from the insurer, we will confirm the identity of the payee and take steps to release the payout. We endeavour to make the waiting period as short as possible, and payouts can be made within 24 hours if we have everything we need.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes. If you no longer wish to be a Plan Holder, you can tell us that you wish to cancel at any time, although there is no payout available and there are no refunds.
